Welcome to the world of Eleanor E.K. Blackwood

Where love lingers, shadows whisper, and every story is stitched with soul.

I'm a romance and fantasy author drawn to the quiet magic in ordinary moments, the fierce beauty of characters who choose love even when it’s hard, and the hidden threads of symbolism that reveal themselves when you least expect them.
Whether you're here for emotionally charged slow burns, myth-touched magic, whispered promises beneath the moonlight, or stories laced with quiet wonder; you're in the right place.

Come in, stay awhile. The story’s just beginning.

Inside
my world

Step into the quiet corners of my writing world, where characters first breathe, scenes unfold in scribbled notebooks, and blossoms bloom between drafts.
Here, you'll find glimpses of inspiration, behind-the-scenes musings, and little bits of magic I’ve gathered along the way.

Frequently Asked (and Occasionally Chaotic) Questions

You asked. Or maybe you just thought really loudly at the screen. Either way, here are some answers, filtered through caffeine, emotions, and a healthy dose of “allegedly.” Whether you're curious about my books, my writing process, or which fictional couple would survive a zombie apocalypse (answer: none, they’d stop to kiss), this is where the truth lives. Mostly.

  • A: Yes! My debut romance books are part of The Phoenix Rising Chronicles, each one can be read as a standalone, but there are threads that connect the bandmates, found family vibes, and heart-tugging moments across the series. My fantasy books in The Shadows of the Lagoon Trilogy exist in their own version of our modern world, however they may sometimes appear in TPRC as side characters.

  • A: Always. I believe in second chances, cliffhanger kisses, and refusing to let my characters rest in peace. (Literally or emotionally.)

  • A: I start with a plan. They laugh, take over, and occasionally send me emotionally compromising messages in the middle of the night.

  • A: I’ve been scribbling since I could hold a pen, but I started writing seriously after a long hiatus. This is my return to the craft, and it’s been healing, chaotic, and a little bit magic.

  • A: In moonlit streets, quiet sunrises, overheard conversations, and the look someone gives when they think no one’s watching. Also: cafés, heartbreak, my own dreams, and too many playlists.

  • A: Love, loss, healing, found family, shadows that whisper, and light that lingers. I like to write about people who’ve been through things, and still choose love.

  • A: Chaotic. There’s coffee, music, late nights, and a suspicious amount of dialogue written in the Notes app while walking. Also: crying. (Sometimes from joy. Usually from edits.)

  • A: That would be the dream, but I work a day job, and write in the wild hours between. It’s a double life full of sticky notes and stolen moments.

  • A: Somewhere between “I finished it in a fever dream” and “it took seventeen emotional breakdowns and a cupboard full of new dishes.” Each story unfolds in its own time, usually faster when I’m avoiding real life.

  • A: That trauma isn’t a personality trait and healing takes more than a kiss. (But kisses help.)

  • A: Write the story only you can tell. Don’t wait to be ready, you’re already enough.

  • A: Not intentionally. But if the shoe fits and you feel attacked... that's between you and your conscience.

  • A: Because Venice feels like a secret whispered by the world. It’s hauntingly beautiful, a little broken, endlessly layered… just like my characters. It feels like home to my soul, the kind of place where magic hides in plain sight and every shadow has a story. When I write about Venice, I’m not just building a setting, I’m returning to somewhere I’ve never really left.

  • A: Listen… Love on Empty is what happens when you write emotionally devastating fanfic but give it a real plot, real heartbreak, and a passport to Venice. Noah may or may not be heavily inspired by a certain K-pop leader with a heart of gold, broad shoulders, and the emotional depth of a handwritten lyric at 3 a.m. I’m not saying it’s him. But I’m also not saying it’s not. This is fiction. Allegedly.
